Some of my happiest moments have been spent getting completely swept away by the arts. You never know where inspiration will come from – it might be a melody, a painting, a costume, or even in that quiet moment when the lights dim and the curtain rises. I hope today reminds you just how much beauty there is in the arts…and how lucky we are to share it together. Check out my AVLD museum companion online guide to spark inspiration. A crowd favorite stop each year: ice cream! I’ll be getting a chocolate strawberry swirl with fresh strawberries on top (my go-to). Get dressed up for the theater (or the museum... or your own living room)! Pull out that item from your closet you've been waiting for a special occasion to wear.

Celebrating the arts is all about finding inspiration in and appreciating the beauty all around you…even in your own closet. AVLD is the perfect excuse to wear that special piece you’ve been saving. Pull out the ballet flats, the flouncy skirt, the crisp button-down, or whatever makes you feel like the main character. Opera gloves are always encouraged (but never required)!
